Henberger sells fifth oldest winery in Paso Robles area
San Diego CA, February 8, 2007 – Donati Family Vineyard of Paicines, California has acquired Mastantuono Winery of Templeton, California. Transaction terms were not disclosed
Henberger initiated the transaction, led the negotiations, and acted as the exclusive transaction advisor to Mastantuono Winery Inc.
“We purchased Mastantuono for its great location and the retail traffic it generates. We see a lot more potential for the site and look to the winery to introduce more people to our award winning wines” said Ron Donati of Donati Family Vineyard of Paicines CA. The winery will be renamed the Donati Family Vineyards.
Asked about the sale Pasquale Mastantuono said “We got through a tough but fair due diligence because we prepared well and had a great group of professionals working with us throughout the process.”

From the start Mastantuono Zinfandel wines won so many awards he became known in the area as the Zinman. Mastantuono was a prime mover in the growth of the Paso Robles wine industry and along with three friends started the Paso Robles Wine Festival in 1983.
