Donati Family Vineyard acquires Mastantuono

Donati Family Vineyard of Paicines, California has acquired Mastantuono Winery of Templeton, California. Transaction terms were not disclosed.

Henberger initiated the transaction, led the negotiations, and acted as the exclusive transaction advisor to Mastantuono Winery Inc.

Donati Family Vineyard of Paicines CA is co-owned by the father and son team of Ron and Matt Donati. FAMILY, ESTATE, VISION, is their motto. This is evidenced upon first glimpse of their spectacular estate vineyard and the recent acquisition of the Mastantuono Winery. Donati Family Vineyard is known for its attention to detail, evaluation of new grape growing and winemaking methods and technologies, and a passion for serving its customers as evidenced by their award winning Bordeaux style wines.

Mastantuono Winery was established in 1976 by Pasquale Mastantuono. Mastantuono Winery is the fifth oldest winery in the Paso Robles area. From the start Mastantuono Zinfandel wines won so many awards he became known in the area as the Zinman. Mastantuono was a prime mover in the growth of the Paso Robles wine industry and along with three friends started the Paso Robles Wine Festival in 1983. He was also instrumental in starting the Paso Robles Wine Country Alliance.
